Cover: Localization of the human peptide transporter (hPepT1) in monolayer of Caco-2 cells grown on permeable supports. The image shows a maximal projection of a confocal stack of images through a Caco-2 cell layer labeled with anti-hPepT1 antibody and stained with an Alexa 488 conjugated antibody. Staining is heterogeneous, indicating subclones within the monolayer. From C. U. Nielsen, J. Amstrup, B. Steffansen, S. Frokjaer, and B. Brodin. Epidermal growth factor inhibits glycylsarcosine transport and hPepT1 expression in a human intestinal cell line. Am J Physiol Gastrointest Liver Physiol 281: G191-G199, 2001.
